Responsibilities : To identify problems and issues (technical, process, people, etc.) encountered and highlight to Team Leaders and Managers. Incident management-work on incident elevated from 1st Level Technical Support. Problem management- trigger problem management (create problem tickets). Change management-routine change execution for low risk, low impact changes from 2nd Level Technical Support.
Understanding of 24x7 mission critical ISP environments and the impact of service disruption on a company’s bottom line. Responsible to plan, design and provide technical support and ensuring the network infrastructure is well integrated, properly configured, tested, secured and available for service on time. Provide in-depth technical solutions to resolve complicated problem in corrective maintenance activities. Provide technical documentation for installation guide and troubleshooting manual. Identify new technology and related products, and make necessary hardware and software recommendation
Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent, with 4-5 years of Data Communication and Networking field. Candidate should possess Cisco Professional Level Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc. Experience in Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, is a must. Expert knowledge in LAN/WAN design, engineering and administration. Thorough understanding of various networking and application level protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ISL, 802.1q, DNS, SMTP, and others.
Good working knowledge in ISP network design and maintenance. Ability to setup DNS, Email, Web-Caching, LAN/WAN bandwidth management and shaping and WAN load-balancing tools for internal infrastructure and customers. Good working knowledge of authentication protocols including RADIUS AAA, PPPoE, etc. Good working knowledge of firewall and remote administration including SNMP, VPN and other network monitoring methodologies. Prior experience with system and network documentation including Network Management Policy, Network Security Policy, User Manual, structured work processes and procedures in an ISO9002 environment is highly desirable. Working knowledge of various operating systems including Windows OS, as well as Linux.
